Indications:
- Treatment of mild to moderate acute exacerbations of ulcerative colitis.
- Maintenance of remission in ulcerative colitis.
- Treatment of acute episodes of Crohn’s disease.

Main Active Ingredient:
- Mesalazine (5-Aminosalicylic Acid) 800 mg.

Precautions:
- Not for use in patients with hypersensitivity to salicylates or any component of the product.
- Contraindicated in severe renal or hepatic impairment.
- Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver dysfunction.
- Regular monitoring of renal function, liver enzymes, and blood counts is recommended during treatment.
- Use cautiously in patients with asthma or pulmonary disease.
- Discontinue immediately if signs of intolerance, hypersensitivity, or severe skin reactions occur.
- Use with caution in patients with a history of sulfasalazine intolerance.
- Not recommended for children under 2 years.

Side Effects:
- Abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and flatulence.
- Headache and dizziness.
- Rash, pruritus, or hypersensitivity reactions.
- Rare blood disorders such as anemia, leukopenia, or thrombocytopenia.
- Renal impairment, including nephritis or renal failure, may occur in rare cases.
- Hepatic enzyme elevation or hepatitis.
- Rare severe reactions such as pancreatitis, myocarditis, or severe skin reactions (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome).

Drug-Drug Interactions:
- May reduce the anticoagulant effect of warfarin.
- Increased risk of myelosuppression when used with azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine, or thioguanine.
- Caution when used with other nephrotoxic drugs such as NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, diclofenac), aminoglycoside antibiotics (e.g., gentamicin), cyclosporine, or diuretics, as this may increase the risk of kidney damage.
